What is everyone doing to be more self-reliant?
Forrest and I are mapping out our garden and will start planting around the end of the month. We are in the process of getting chickens and finish building our coop. I will be keeping everyone posted on our goings on at our endeavour. Hopefully I can help with questions on gardening or chickens. I just really want to inspire all of our family and friends to be self-reliant!
This is my record of my family and I do this blog with love and hope all that read it enjoy it!

Focus.....Focus...Focus
Phoenix Zoo
We tackled the zoo today with 5 kids! It went quite well. We saw just enough to make everyone happy and we left before the little kids started crying. All in all it was a good day. We did some walking around on the Arizona Trail and then we had tickets for the zoo train. We took that for a nice ride on the farther parts of the zoo. The kids really didn't worry about not seeing all the zoo today. Since we have a membership we will go back when it is cooler. Even Caroline did really well with the whole trip. Usually she fuss and fumes when she is out of the house for to long but she did wonderfully today.

Staying at Home!
Well it is official.....I have quit my job and I am staying at home full-time! It is very exciting to think of all the things that I can do and don't have to worry about any more. Once I get into a groove of things I really hope our home will be a more peaceful and happy. When I had to work in the evening it was always crazy and things fell like non-sense all the time.
I am hoping that I can actually start sewing or working on genology as a part-time hobby.....But I think my hobby will be diapers and feedings for now. But it is always good to have a goal.
On a side note....Caroline had a dr. check-up today! Chunky is 11 lbs and 6 oz. It is amazing how fast they grow!

Chores.....
Since school has started...I am trying to get on to a schedule. I am not sure if that would ever happen in my life time. But at least I am trying!!!! Right???? I think there are some people in the world who are just ment to be organizing freaks. Actually there are a few in my family....boy do I wish I could be like them. But I think I will always be a want-a-be!I just can't get my act together....But at least my family is happy.
So our schedule for the boys is one have kitchen duty and trash M,W,F. The other one cleans the Living Room, Entry Way, and Hallway- T,TH,Sat. This way every boy gets a chance for certain duty.
The Little girls always clean the Family Room and pick up the Bathroom. Then all of the kids clean there own rooms.
If we can keep this up I should have my household under control in 2010?

Well today I finally figured it out! I now have an official blog spot. I am quite excited about it. I love looking at other people's blogs and I have always wanted one. That and I figured that my friends from out of state can now look in on my life and times of my kiddos. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will have this thing up and running......Stay Tuned!!!!
